Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from San Salvador:San Salvador (#3) and Salvadorenos (#5). Salvadorenos were defeated at home 69-82 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. San Salvador players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Sean Scott (190-1997, college: Pfeiffer) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward William Merino (187-2000) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five San Salvador players scored in double figures. Guard Diego Minero (187-2007) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Andres Figueroa scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Salvador (14-4) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with A.Lobos. Salvadorenos lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
